House Style - Colour Ideas
I think that these colours will
work together effectively for my magazine, because they evoke the more calmed
and happy sense that indie music is trying to evoke. The colours also contrast
well, and so it will be easy to distinguish different parts of the magazine
from others. The lighter colours will also make it easier to have images in the
foreground without anything distracting readers from them. I think the way that colours blend into one another, will allow me to place content around the page in a way that feels smooth and as though it flows. I will use a black font for my text, as it is the easiest to stand out against most colours. I will use Blues for my headers and they stand out more and will draw attention to different articles, so that readers can more easily decide what to focus on.
I will be using yellow mostly as a background colour, as it offers a warmth and friendliness to my magazine, without being to loud as to distract from the content.
